Booking terms | Wheelchair Transport
These are the conditions displayed in the wheelchair taxi booking form.
General
These terms and conditions apply to all services and agreements of Wheelchair Transport. For questions about these terms or your journey, call +31858009995.
By using our services, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
Services
Wheelchair Transport provides professional wheelchair transport in wheelchair-accessible minibuses, including transport to care appointments, airport transfers, group transport and business wheelchair transport. All journeys are subject to availability and scheduling.
Bookings
Journeys can be requested by telephone, email or through the website. A booking becomes final only after confirmation by Wheelchair Transport.
Special circumstances, such as medical equipment, oxygen equipment or particular care needs, must be reported when booking. This information allows Wheelchair Transport to prepare the journey and take appropriate measures where necessary.
Journey cancellations
There is no cancellation charge if Wheelchair Transport receives the cancellation at least 30 days before the scheduled journey date.
If a journey is cancelled less than 30 days but more than 24 hours before the scheduled journey, 25% of the total fare will be charged. If it is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled journey, the full fare (100%) will be charged.
Cancellations must always be made by telephone or email. The date and time at which Wheelchair Transport receives the cancellation determine the applicable cancellation percentage.
Cancellation charges must be paid within 14 days of the cancellation date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
No-show
If the customer or passenger is absent from the agreed pickup address at the agreed time and Wheelchair Transport has not been informed beforehand, this is treated as a no-show. The full fare (100%) will be charged for a no-show.
The driver will wait for up to 10 minutes after the agreed pickup time. If the customer arrives within that period, the journey will still take place if the schedule allows it.
Fares and payment
Applicable fares are communicated in advance or are available on request. Payment must be made using the agreed payment method. Any surcharges, such as night rates, public holidays or additional assistance, will be stated in advance.
Wheelchairs and mobility aids
Wheelchair Transport handles passengers' wheelchairs and other mobility aids with care. Any damage must be reported to the driver or customer service immediately after the journey.
Wheelchair Transport is liable for proven damage arising during transport, provided the customer reports it in writing within 24 hours of the journey. Damage that existed before the journey is excluded from this responsibility.
Companions and other passengers
Passengers may travel with a companion. This must be reported when booking so it can be taken into account. Companions may travel free of charge.
Responsibilities
Wheelchair Transport endeavours to carry out journeys safely, carefully and as agreed. Delays resulting from force majeure, traffic conditions or weather conditions do not give rise to liability on the part of Wheelchair Transport.
Liability
Wheelchair Transport is not liable for indirect loss, consequential loss or lost income, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. In all cases, liability is limited to the price of the journey concerned.
Complaints
Complaints may be submitted by email or telephone. Wheelchair Transport aims to handle complaints within 5 working days. If the customer is dissatisfied with the response, they may refer the matter to the competent court described in section 14.
Privacy
Personal data is handled carefully and used solely to provide the service, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Further information is available in the privacy policy.
Changes
Wheelchair Transport reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The latest version is always available on the website.
Applicable law and disputes
Dutch law applies to all agreements and services of Wheelchair Transport. Disputes should preferably be resolved through mutual consultation. If this is unsuccessful, the competent court in the district where Wheelchair Transport is established has exclusive jurisdiction.
